As we celebrate the Lord Jesus Christ; it is also a time for us to reflect upon our walk as followers of Jesus Christ. Before the arrest of the Lord Jesus Christ, he confessed to be ‘overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death’. Despite the intense emotions he felt, the Lord Jesus Christ humbled himself before God’s Will . Mathew 26:37 -39.
To the finality of the Cross, the Lord Jesus Christ was meek. One person explained that meekness is power under control (self-control)…the ability to do what you ought to do; and when you ought to do it irrespective of the pressing need to do otherwise is an act of power under control.
Child of God, whatever is derailing you from being a faithful follower of the Lord Jesus Christ, be it frustrations, passions, willfulness ….pray for the power under control. The blood of the Lamb, not only grants us forgiveness from sin; but also breaks off every chain of the enemy from our lives; thus empowering us to be over comers. The word of God says that “They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony..” Rev 12:11
“Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth” Mathew 5:5.
Have a Blessed Easter
