The groom and bride finally get to the so longed wedding celebration.  However, before the full week of the wedding celebration hosted by the groom is over …the wine was finished.  ‘Picture  the early anxiety, followed by a sense of failure  or even despair as this family realized there was no way to avoid a social disaster.’

Crisis is a situation which happens to every person.   We are human beings and man can only control so much irrespective of one’s status in life. In those times when failure is closing in, whom do you turn to?

Mary, Mother of Jesus Christ instinctively turned to Jesus and told Him the problem.  And even when the LORD responded  “Woman, why do you involve me? My hour has not yet come.” Mary knew Jesus well and confidently told the servants “Do whatever he tells you.”  When circumstances close in and you feel like your faith in God is flagging… hold onto the fact that true faith expects God to intervene.

The Lord’s response to your crisis may seem unrealistic to one’s comprehension; probably like it was for the servants who had to fill the six huge stone jars each containing 75 – 115 liters of water.  Still, they filled all the Jars “to the brim”.

You want to experience Jesus Christ turn water into wine in your circumstances, do your part by following God’s instructions fully; and let God glorify himself in your circumstances.

“…the Master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine.  He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew.” John 2:9
