Are you a Christian who has powerful and wonderful testimonies of ‘yesterday’ and nothing to share about God’s work in your life today?  Does that mean that the powerful God who moved mountains in your life ‘yesterday’ is no longer able to do so ‘today’? The word of God which is true assures me that the God who created the Heavens and the Earth is still the very God today.  However, whenever we go lax in searching for the face of God or chose to believe the lies of the enemy over the word of God…it deters one from pressing on in the Kingdom of God.

A Christian’s destination is to finally get to that place that Jesus Christ went to prepare… a place for you (John 14:2-4) .  As we wait for that destination,  in this world there is a specific purpose you are meant to fulfill in the Kingdom of God.  Could it be in the line of serving as a preacher, Sunday school teacher, a bible teacher, comforter to those in need, a worshiper, a leader?  You are alive today for a reason.

Consider not yourself that you have already attained your goal as a Christian; for in doing so, one becomes lax in their attitude towards the Kingdom of God and fail to press on.  When on a daily basis you purpose to press on faithfully in Christ Jesus; the fire within you will keep on burning, propelling you to do greater things in the Kingdom of God and see mighty and marvelous deeds of God.

Whenever a person confesses to be a Christian…that confession means that ‘Jesus lives within me’.  So, despite your personality and status in life…have the mind of Christ Jesus, the resilience Christ had to fulfill his purpose in his life.

“Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me….I press on toward the goal to win the prize  for which God has called the heavenward in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:12,14
