If you are a Christian, you readily affirm God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit to be Sovereign, all-sufficient and all-powerful.  Yet, in a trying situation…ones fears and feelings deny this fact about God.  How many times do we put on Phillip’s shoes and tell God ‘where should we buy bread for these people to eat?” John 6:5-7; or Andrew, who with the young boy’s 2 small fish and 2 small barley bread asked, “How far will they go among so many?” John 6: 8-9

Many times we bemoan… if only my job, my marriage or financial situation were different; or simply give in and accept negative thoughts … ‘this is the way it was meant to be, my situation cannot change, God cannot help me. However, just as Jesus Christ did 2,000 years ago, he always notices our needs and delights in turning little into plenty.

The young boy’s attitude of ‘such as I have, I bring’ lead him to be part of God’s great work that day.  He sure had a great story to share with his Mama on returning home!  This strengthens me so, for little is much when God is in it.
